This initial concept exploration for the Rio 2016 Look of the Games was designed to evoke a sense of organic vibrancy and cultural familiarity, inspired by Rio de Janeiro’s iconic landscape and rich heritage. Drawing from the city’s striking mountainscape and the Portuguese stone sidewalk patterns of Burle Marx, the design seamlessly blends nature and tradition. By incorporating these distinct visual elements, we aimed to create a bold, dynamic, and unforgettable aesthetic that captures both the essence of Rio and the electrifying spirit of the Olympic Games.
